Guys.

My 4th anniversary is on the 31st and we're sick of "dinner and a movie" as the standard date. I've searched the internet's infinite wisdom for things to do in Springfield, IL but there's evidently nothing out there.

We do have a Chuck E. Cheese, Kick's, Glow Golf, stuff like that... but I'm hoping for further suggestions. Have any?

We still plan on having dinner but don't want to just do the standard Olive Garden thing. any suggestions?

The Cavity Search by Bruce Elliott

Do you remember the painting depicting Republican Vice President hopeful Sarah Palin in the nude during the 2008 election? You know-- the painting that grabbed the attention of national news coverage simply due to its subject? Remember? Well, the man behind the painting, Bruce Elliott, has decided to place another politician in an awkward situation. His subject-- Governor Rod Blagojevich from Illinois.

Elliott’s recent painting, which is already receiving press in Chicago, depicts a nervous Governor Rod Blagojevich (Democrat) with a prison jumpsuit pulled down to his knees. In the painting Blagojevich is positioned as if he is looking at the viewer as a guard stands near wearing a rubber glove. The painting, titled “The Cavity Search”, pokes fun at Blagojevich‘s potential future if he is found guilty of attempting to sell Barack Obama‘s former seat in Illinois. The Governor from Illinois is currently caught in the throws of scandal over the issue.

this alienware computer was given to me by a friend before they left the country. originally paid $2,720.00 in 1999. has all original paperwork (blacked out original owners information), new power cord, mousepad, and keyboard. has been upgraded from what it was in 1999. i plugged it in to look at it (was going to fix it up to play world of warcraft on) and the hard drive works, but it needs a new CD-ROM drive. (better off putting a DVD-ROM in it these days). it's a good computer, just needs a bit of upgrading. again, was originally just over $2700.00. also has the alienware recovery CD. is running Windows XP. i do know he was able to run WoW on it before he left the country, but it really should be upgraded more. looking for $100.00 OBO. email me with any questions! i live in springfield.
